How does Mitsubishi generator speed control system work?

The speed control system of Mitsubishi diesel generator set includes: electronic speed control board, speed measuring head, electronic actuator.

The working principle of Mitsubishi speed control system:

When the flywheel of the diesel engine rotates, the speed measuring head installed on the flywheel shell generates a pulsed voltage signal, and the voltage value is sent to the electronic speed control board. If the speed is lower than the preset value of the electronic speed control board, the electronic speed control board outputs. When the value of the electronic actuator increases, the oil supply of the oil pump increases accordingly, so that the speed of the diesel engine reaches the preset value of the electronic speed control board.

Tachometer head of Mitsubishi generator set:

The coil of the speed measuring head can be tested by using the ohm gear of the multimeter to detect the two terminals of the coil. The resistance value is generally between 100-300 ohms, and the terminals are insulated from the shell of the speed measuring head. When the generator is working normally, the AC voltage gear is used for detection, and generally there is a voltage output value exceeding 1.5V.

MITSUBISHI alternator electronic actuator:

The coil of the electronic actuator can be detected by using the ohm gear of the multimeter to detect the two terminals of the coil. The resistance value is generally between 7-8 ohms. When the power generation needs to run without load, the voltage value that the electronic speed control board outputs to the electronic actuator Generally between 6-8VDC, this voltage value will increase with the increase of load, when fully loaded, generally between 12-13VDC.

When the Mitsubishi generator is no-load, if the voltage value is lower than 5VDC, it indicates that the electronic actuator is excessively worn, and the electronic actuator needs to be replaced. When the Mitsubishi generator is under load, if the voltage value is higher than 15VDC, it means that the oil supply of the PT oil pump is insufficient.
